Dr. Lisa Given delivered the keynote address for Thinking Qualitatively 2010, titled "Qualitative inquiry and the nature of 'evidence': An interdisciplinary conversation" on June 21st. Lisa's talk examined such topics as the nature of research evidence across disciplines, issues in designing and assessing qualitative research, and the nature of interdisciplinary research. During the week-long conference, Lisa also taught workshops on "coding and categorization," "discourse analysis," and other topics in qualitative inquiry. The conference was sponsored by the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology (www.ualberta.ca/international-institute-for-qualitative-methodology), where Lisa is a Distinguish Scholar and former Director.
