Tri-Agency Framework on the Responsible Conduct Of Research – Proposed Revisions for Public Consultation
28 May 2021
The federal Secretariat on the Responsible Conduct of Research recently announced a public consultation on the proposed revisions to the Tri-Agency Framework: Responsible Conduct of Research. The university's Research and Scholarship Integrity Policy aligns with this framework.
The proposed revisions include a new responsibility related to oversight, training and fair conduct in research, as well as other changes intended to clarify and improve the Framework. As well, it should be noted that the Panel is committed to developing a guidance on the responsible conduct of research with Indigenous peoples and/or on Indigenous lands, and that initiative will be undertaken separately from the current consultation.
University researchers have until June 23, 2021 to comment on the proposed revisions and additional details about the public consultation are available here. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please contact Susan Babcock.
