Social Sciences and Humanities
This site is in transition.
Supports for research development in the humanities and social sciences disciplines originally offered by the Office of the VPRI as part of the Grant Assist Program (2011 to 2020) are, in 2022, available under the new Research Partner Network or the various Centres of Expertise. Humanities and social sciences researchers across the UAlberta campuses are advised to contact the Research Partner specializing in SSHRC competitions, Dr. Craig Taylor, for research development support.
Please note: while legacy supports (eg: the Toolkit for Success) continue, and new supports are being developed (eg: The Research Whisperer Hour or grant-specific proposal development sessions), these pages will transition as the RPNetwork and VPRI Centres of Expertise unroll in 2022, and as new research supports are developed.

2019 Faculty Satisfaction Evaluation - Opinions of Key Services.
In the autumn of 2019, the GAP SS&H surveyed all participants in any of the program offerings from it's inception in 2013.
Faculty users' opinions of key aspects of the program are summarized in the graphic to the right. Strong satisfaction and support for both the program and personnel are indicated.

User Satisfaction Baseline Survey 2015
In the autumn of 2015, the GAP (SS&H) surveyed all participants in any of the program offerings from it's inception in 2013.
The purpose of the survey was to establish a baseline from which to evaluate the GAP SS&H as it transitioned from pilot to standing program.
Satisfaction with 12 key aspects of the program is summarized in the graphic to the right.
