Our Services
Over the last number of years, we have worked closely with municipalities, civil society organizations, and the public sector to provide timely data analysis and evidence-informed solutions to their real-world concerns, helping to inform policies and practices.
We have also provided academic and community-relevant expertise needed to address implementation challenges and system-level barriers to the effectiveness and scalability of policies, programs, and services. We also help our partners to build capacity, engage stakeholders, mobilize their knowledge, and share their healthy community building experiences.
Some recent examples include:
- Through a grant from Alberta Real Estate Foundation the creation of a website to help individuals and groups better understand the many important factors that shape healthy homes and healthy communities.
- Evaluation of programs related to community health.
- Working in partnership with the Population, Public & Indigenous Health Strategic Clinical Network, Alberta Health Services, we created a toolkit to support financial wellbeing in Alberta communities.
- Rapid reviews of academic literature and other evidence sources to provide intelligence for planning and decision-making.
- In partnership with Alberta Recreation and Parks Association and the Government of Alberta, we created a series of resources to support the development of Mobile Adventure Playgrounds and Play Declarations in Alberta communities.
