SPH 547: Public Health Practice Project
SPH 547 is a three-unit project-based course where students are assigned to a team to work on a project for/with an external partner organization.
- When is it offered? In spring and fall terms.
- Prerequisites: All required courses, save SPH 598, which is the last course to be taken.
- What is the workload? The expected commitment is ~ 14 hours per week/student over eight to nine weeks in spring term or ~ 10 hours per week/student over 12-13 weeks in fall term, including individual and teamwork that contributes to producing final deliverables for the organization. Teamwork may require synchronous and asynchronous and virtual meetings involving different time zones.
