Call for Nicoladis Undergraduate Teaching Awards for 2024-2025
13 March 2025

The Nicoladis Undergraduate Teaching Awards (NUTAs) recognize anyone who has taught undergraduates in any way that demonstrates a sense of fun. Do you know an instructor who gave an assignment, assigned a project, or created an activity that was special, exciting, or fun?
In the last year, did they make students laugh, express themselves, or look forward to what they would do in the next class? If so, nominate them for this award! In the past, instructors received the TUTAs for having students play with play-doh, giving their students milk and cookies during presentations, having students create funny commercials, or writing comic book versions of their syllabus!
The Teaching Awards Committee will adjudicate the NUTAs this year. We will accept nominations from any faculty, staff, or students. Self-nominations are welcome.
To nominate someone for this award, please use this Google form. The deadline for nominations will be April 30th, 2025. We will announce the award winners this Fall.
Please share the attached poster with your classes, labs, or anyone else who might be interested in nominating someone.
Thanks so much for contributing to this recognition of teaching!
