Dr. Gabriel Proulx (September 2024 - August 2026)

Dr. Gabriel Proulx is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta. Under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Laforest, his current research focuses on the representation of autism in French and Francophone literature and explores the critical potential of autistic modes of reading literary and cultural productions. He received his PhD from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2023, and his areas of expertise include contemporary French and Francophone poetry and autofiction, critical disability studies, and comparative studies. He is also the author of one novel (Garçon désamorcé, 2024) and two poetry collections (Nos photosynthèses, 2021 & Les cœurs de pomme et leur syntaxe, 2019).
