Assistant Dean's Message
Welcome to the Office of Advocacy & Wellbeing (OAW). As the Assistant Dean, I am here to assist residents and fellows in accessing the support you might require to excel in both your training as well as your home lives.
The OAW Office is able to help with a wide range of situations that might affect your ability to perform at your best. These might include issues of mental or physical health, learning or exam taking skills, situations of intimidation or harassment and times of personal crisis. We can also help with accommodation for special circumstances such as pregnancy, working with a disability or taking time off of your training, and with academic issues such as remediation or appeals.
Please feel free to email at oawadmin@ualberta.ca or bnair@ualberta.ca, call the office (780-492-3150) or stop by 1-134 Katz Group Centre to get advice or arrange an appointment.
