Students of Aboriginal identity within the meaning of the Constitution Act, 1982, Section 35, Part 2, or a person accepted by one of the Indigenous peoples of Canada as a member of their community, will be considered in this category.
Proof of ancestry must be provided when applying as an Indigenous student. Accepted forms of documentation are outlined in the Admission of Indigenous Applicants section of the University of Alberta Calendar.
Candidates are subject to normal minimum admission requirements as outlined in the calendar and approval by the Divisional Admissions Committee.
