About

The Office of Lifelong Learning (L3) is a novel vision for continuing medical education here at the University of Alberta.

Our goal is for L3  to be the academic home for those interested in the improvement sciences needed for a learning health system.

Our aim is to build a vibrant implementation hub which  connects an engaged community, harnessing ideas and emergent solutions, and reinvigorating our collective dialogue and collaborative actions to advance healthcare for the benefit of all Albertans. We do this through our work: supporting multi-stakeholder collaboration in the Provincial Continuous Professional Development Network; and our Advanced Performance Improvement Program consisting of our highly impactful, international quality improvement training; leadership development, coaching, and communication training; through creation of tools and resources that support Physician Practice Improvement efforts with MyLifelong Learning Plan; and a constellation of educational offerings and courses on diverse clinical areas.

The Physician Learning Program, housed in the Office of Lifelong Learning, engages, educates and empowers physicians and teams to create and sustain local solutions to advance clinical practice. View our projects to see what kind of work we've been doing in the Alberta medical field.

Each day, we work tirelessly to continue building partnerships with stakeholders to bring the best possible health care to Albertans. If you or your organization would be interested in working with us, please do not hesitate to contact us lll@ualberta.ca
