"Interdisciplinary Research is a mode of research by teams or individuals that integrates information, data, techniques, tools, perspectives, concepts, and/or theories form two or more disciplines or bodies of specialized knowledge to advance fundamental understanding or to solve problems whose solutions are beyond the scope of a singe discipline or area of research practice." Our efforts to develop a culture of interdisciplinary research involves
- Collaborate with the health sciences faculties on interdisciplinary initiatives that complement core disciplinary scholarship
- Connecting strengths in basic and health related sciences, programs and infrastructure across the University
- Building capacity and establishing support mechanisms for interdisciplinary projects
