Education
We acknowledge the need to balance discipline specific accreditation requirements and education in core areas with the goal of promoting interdisciplinary scholarship. We therefore work to ensure our efforts complement core disciplinary scholarship, not compete with it.
This is achieved by:
- Collaborating with the health sciences faculties on the development, implementation, and evaluation of large scale interprofessional education initiatives
- Connecting programming strengths across the health sciences faculties to better support education and training focused on select areas relevant to the needs and interests of the public, and the health-system
- Supporting educational programming across the health sciences faculties by providing simulation environments and related support services
- Working with health sciences faculties to establish placement sites that support students from all nine health sciences faculties as they complete practicum requirements as part of their programs
