Simulation-based analytics for construction

Biography:

Zhen obtained his MSc (2011) and PhD (2014) in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Alberta. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta (2015 - 2016) and a Construction Coordinator at PCL Industrial Management Inc. (2016 - 2018) since graduation, and later re-joined the construction simulation group at the University of Alberta as a Postdoctoral Fellow to continue pursuing his academic career. His research interests include: (i) heavy-lift crane analysis and planning for industrial construction projects; (ii) Building Information Modeling (BIM) to improve construction productivity and efficiency; (iii) data mining and analytics for construction historical data; and (iv) state-of-the-art applications in offsite construction.
