Work Term Reports

WkExp 901-904 Reports

Reports are due one month prior to the official end of the work term (i.e., end of November / March / July). All reports will be graded by the end of the term (i.e., end of December / April / August).

Students may be granted an extension on the deadline for submission through a request to the Co-op office, prior to the original deadline, outlining the reasons for such a request. Students having been granted such a request will receive a grade of INCOMPLETE until such time as a satisfactory report is received. At that time the grade will be changed to CREDIT if all other criteria have been satisfied. If a satisfactory report is not received by the agreed upon extended deadline, the grade will be changed to NO CREDIT.

A student who has a grade of FAIL due to not submitting a work term report will be transferred out of the Co-op Program or required to withdraw from the Faculty of Engineering (see Faculty of Engineering Regulations).

WkExp 905 Technical Report and Technical Report Evaluation Form

Faculty-graded technical reports and employer-completed technical report evaluation forms should be submitted via eClass prior to your final day of employment and no later than the final day of the work term (April 30, August 31, December 31).

If an employer will grade a technical report because it contains proprietary information, the student must inform the Co-op office of this in writing prior to the end of the work term. Upon such notification, the Co-op office will forward to the employer a technical report grading form, guidelines for grading, and request confirmation regarding the proprietary nature of the report.

Students may be granted an extension on the deadline for submission through a written request to the Co-op office, prior to the original deadline, outlining the reasons for such a request. Students having been granted such a request will receive a grade of INCOMPLETE until such time as a satisfactory report is received.
