Transition to Career

Transition to Career (T2C) is a self-directed online course designed to introduce the basics of career management. Whether you're a current student, alum, or a postdoctoral scholar, T2C provides a comprehensive introduction to career development that aligns with the Career Centre’s approach.

The T2C course is accessible 24/7, offering you the flexibility to:

• Learn on Your Schedule: Access the course whenever it suits you.
• Study at Your Own Pace: Progress through the material at a speed that matches your personal learning style.
• Build Foundational Career Knowledge: Gain insights into essential career management strategies.

The course is structured into five key modules, each designed to guide you through different aspects of career development:

1. Overview of the Career Centre: Discover the full range of services available to support your career journey.
2. Take Charge of Your Career: Learn how to proactively manage and plan your career path.
3. Master the Skills Employers Want: Identify and develop the skills that are most in demand by employers.
4. Land the Job You Want: Gain practical tips and strategies for successful job searching and application.
5. Flourish in the Workplace: Understand how to thrive in your chosen career by fostering personal and professional growth.

Flexible Learning Experience

The modules are designed to be completed in any order and all of them can be completed in approximately 2 hours. You can complete the course in one sitting, spread it out, or only complete specific modules. Interactive quizzes and reflection opportunities are integrated throughout to enhance your learning and help you apply the materials outside of the course. 

Dive Deeper with Library Resources

Each module is accompanied by a library of resources to further support your learning. This includes:

• In-depth Course Documents: Dive deeper into the topics covered in each module.
• Interactive Activities: Engage with practical exercises, links, and videos to reinforce your learning.
• Additional Resources: Access extra materials to explore topics further and expand your knowledge base.
