Graduate Employment Survey
About the Graduate Employment Survey
The Employment Survey of 2016 University of Alberta graduates surveyed and profiled graduates from 2016 to learn about their employment experiences and examine the potential impacts of engagement (e.g. Work Integrated Learning, Community Service-Learning, experiential learning, volunteering, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities) during their university experience on their careers today.
Between October and November 2021, we collected responses from alumni from all undergraduate and graduate degree-granting programs at the University of Alberta in the year 2016 (convocating in June and November 2016), regardless of where they were geographically located.
The 15-20 minute survey was administered using a secure platform called Campus Labs. The data collected is confidential and only a select number of staff at the Career Centre will have access to the raw data. Survey responses will be anonymized and aggregated for reporting purposes. We will report on general themes that can inform the direction of future career and experiential learning programming. The information collected will also be used to inform educational materials for current U of A students, recent alumni, and others who are exploring career options and searching for work.
Similar surveys were administered to graduates from 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2005, and 2010.
