The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta provides medical training programs across the entire MD educational spectrum (undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral fellowships). Our faculty and educational programs have gained a strong reputation for training clinically sound anesthesia practitioners, and our staff are fully committed to the training and teaching of the next generation of anesthesiologists.
Anesthesia rotations and electives for 3rd and 4th year clinical clerks completing their degree in medicine.
A five-year, RCPSC accredited, specialty education training program leading to FRCPC certification.
A one-year program that trains family physicians to deliver anesthesia services outside of major urban centres.
