Convocation

Congratulations to our 2023 medal recipients:

  • Julianne Simard was awarded the Dean's Medal in Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences
  • Rita Tang was awarded the Amy M Coates Memorial Medal in Foods and Nutrition
  • Jenna Wong was awarded the Medal in Food Science
  • Megan Jones was awarded the Warren W and Ida E Prevey Memorial Medal 

The ALES PhD thesis award for outstanding thesis was granted to Justine Lejoly.

Congratulations to environmental and conservation sciences student Hannah Kastelic on winning the Outstanding Sustainability Research Award in the Festival of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (FURCA). Read more about her project, titled, “The Role of Pollinators in Sustainable Agriculture: A Guide For Farmers in Central Alberta.”

 

Two Department of Agricultural, Food & Nutritional Science students received awards from the Canadian Nutrition Society:
