Overview

What the Program has to offer:

 

  • The IPSSAS seminar is a two week (approx.) intensive course that brings together Ph.D. and senior M.A. students as well as Faculty from the universities and research centers of the IPSSAS circumpolar network as well as other universities
  • Promotes the study of Arctic societies in the fields of history, culture and language
  • Explores new research trends in those fields and to develop coordinated and collaborative post-graduate teaching
  • Stimulates international networking and synergy between participating scientific institutions
  • Fosters partnerships between Arctic societies and participating scientific institutions
  • Encourages participation of and knowledge sharing with Arctic communities in its activities, so as to bring more students from Arctic societies to register at the Ph.D. level
