  • "Food as Medicine" is a transformative journey rooted in UniLaSalle's research expertise, exploring the impact of cuisine on adults with chronic conditions.

  • Immerse yourself in French culture. Beauvais is located 75 km north of Paris. Students can explore Europe without breaking the bank with trains running hourly and the airport just 5 minutes from campus.

Eligibility Requirements

Open to: All students—The program is intended for students in bachelor's or master's programs in life sciences, agriculture, food, nutrition, public health, or dietetics from an accredited institution.

GPA: cumulative 2.5 on the last 24 credits of graded coursework or as required by student's faculty.

Level: Undergraduate, Graduate


Fees and Costs

Education Abroad Nomination Fee: $250

2025 Tuition: EXCH 811 Registration for *3 approx $750.

2025 General fees & costs: €2,400

The fees include:

  • program fees
  • room and breakfast
  • some meals
  • transfer airport to campus

Students are responsible for their flights, passport/visa, insurance, additional meals, expenses and return costs. 


Housing

On-campus housing is included in the program fee.

2025 - Program renamed Food as Medicine

  •  The 2025 program examines the impact of cuisine on the dietary needs of adults with chronic conditions, combining nutritional expertise with culinary know-how.
  • To incorporate additional research activities of our faculty, we have added two new modules:
    • 1) Designing a food offering for the vulnerable and dependent adult” and
    • 2) Diet and therapeutic care. 
The program awards 6 US credits
