Shamez Kassam

Shamez has a long history as a client of ISTAR - he attended his first intensive clinic in 1989.

Currently a portfolio manager at Raymond James, Shamez has an MBA, CFA and 12 years of experience in the financial industry. He previously worked with BNP Paribas in New York and also spent time with Alberta Investment Management as part of a team responsible for over $3 Billion of investment assets. He is a CFA Charterholder and completed the MBA program at Columbia University in New York in 2004. In 2017, Shamez published the book Your Money's Worth - The Essential Guide to Financial Advice for Canadians. He lives with his wife and young son in Calgary.
