Major Awards
Fellowships, scholarships and awards are available from several outside agencies:
- Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) - Provides fellowships for master's and doctoral students studying psychology as a social science.
- Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR) - Master's and doctoral research awards from CIHR provide support to students pursuing a degree in a health-related field.
- Alberta Innovates - Full-time studentships enable full-time research training in basic bio-medical, health or mental health sciences.
- Queen Elizabeth II Scholarships - Several master's and doctoral awards are granted each year to students in the School of Public Health.
NOTE: Agencies that fund major awards have strict deadlines for submitting applications. In addition, the School of Public Health has an internal deadline and related process for reviewing applications before they are submitted to external agencies.
