Talisha Chaput - Program Coordinator

Talisha is Métis/French with family connections to Treaty 6 and Treaty 1 territories. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2019 with her Master’s degree in Archaeology. She became involved with the IPIA in summer 2020 and currently works at the Program Coordinator for the Institute. She has a varied background with expertise in faunal analysis, stable isotope analysis, and geospatial technologies. In addition to her administrative role, her focus at the Institute is to facilitate community engagement and capacity-building for Nations who are interested in using science and technology to answer archaeological questions.  

 

 

 

Victoria Tunney - Administrative Assistant

Victoria is originally from Calgary but moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. In 2018, she attended field school in Vacone, Italy as part of the Upper Sabina Tiberina Project. She graduated with a BA in 2019, double majoring in Anthropology and Classical Studies, with a focus on classical archaeology. Before moving to the Institute of Prairie and Indigenous Archaeology, she previously worked at the university as an administrator for the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. 

Victoria is happy to provide help with the administrative aspects of the IPIA, including scheduling, purchasing and supplies, facilities and maintenance, events, and travel.
