Student Resources
There are two undergraduate student clubs in the Department:
- Undergraduate Physics Society (Contact: ups@ualberta.ca )
- Geophysics Undergraduate Society
These clubs share a common room in CCIS L2-003, which has sofas, a refrigerator, and a microwave for students to relax and refuel; and tables, chairs and whiteboards for studying. The clubs give students the opportunity to connect with their peers in similar programs. The clubs also provide information on events and activities that may be of interest to undergraduate students in various programs, and organize social events throughout the year.
If you are interested in astronomy, there is an observatory on-campus, open to the public on Thursday evenings, that is run by undergraduate student volunteers.
If you have questions about the labs associated with any of the undergraduate courses (schedules, room locations etc.), please visit the Undergraduate Labs web site.
If you are having difficulties with your Physics course and would like some private tutoring, the Physics General Office can provide you with a list of our graduate students who are willing to help, for a reasonable fee.
