Membrane Journal Club
Membrane Protein Journal Club/IRTG Journal Club is held Tuesdays in Room 4-70 MSB at 12:00pm. Journal clubs are a great place to learn about the latest breakthroughs and technologies. For trainees they provide an opportunity to look closely at a paper and to practise their presentation skills. Refined critical and analytical skills applicable to paper and grant writing and review will be developed. Presenters usually give a literature review of a paper that focuses on membranes or membrane proteins. Guest speakers present their own work. More volunteers are needed to fill out the schedule. If you or someone in your lab can give a seminar, please email Dr. Joe Casey (casey@ualberta.ca).
