This has been a wonderful year for the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, earmarked by celebrations of educational excellence, scientific discoveries and clinical care of the highest standard. In 2014, the faculty celebrated full accreditations for the MD program, all three dental programs and the medical laboratory science program; we were honoured to add one more 3M National Teaching Fellow to our faculty and we welcomed many new students and residents into our educational programs.

But new research at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, which won the single largest award in the history of the University Hospital Foundation, aims to save more hearts, which will save more lives.
