MSc (Thesis-based) Program
Program requirements:
a total of at least 9 graded units of course weight at the graduate level:

professional development requirement [for students admitted Fall 2016 and after] |
one oral presentation at LMP Rounds |
attendance at specified seminars (LMP Rounds) |
approved research project (thesis) |

Other than the thesis and final examination, all program requirements must be completed within the first two years.
Specialization:
All students are initially admitted to a general MSc program. Specialization is not required, but students may choose to specialize in one of the following after successfully completing the required associated course(s).

Biopreservation | must take LABMP 510; recommended to take LABMP 511 also |
Molecular Pathology | must take LABMP 581; recommended to take LABMP 500 also |
Students must maintain a cumulative program GPA of 3.0.
Students must be full time, i.e. must be registered in 9 units of course weight (graded and ungraded, and including thesis registration) each Fall and Winter term and Thesis 906 for each Spring and Summer term throughout their programs.
The minimum length of the thesis-based MSc program is generally 2 years to a maximum of 4 years. Average completion time is 2.76 years.
