Adobe changes their Acrobat licenses
Effective July 15, Adobe will no longer sell perpetual licenses for their Acrobat Standard 2020 and Acrobat Pro 2020 in both their Transactional License Program (TLP) and Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) buying programs.
Who is impacted?
Any faculty or staff who do not currently hold perpetual licenses for Acrobat will now be required to sign up for monthly subscription services, and pay accordingly.
Please note that if you are a faculty or staff member who currently holds a perpetual license of Acrobat, this change will not affect you, and you will continue to have access to the existing software per the terms of the agreement.
What are my options for purchasing Adobe Acrobat?
Subscription plans are the best way to take advantage of everything Acrobat has to offer. By upgrading to an Acrobat Pro subscription, Acrobat perpetual users get the most complete solution for working with PDF documents across all devices, along with regular product feature updates.
All university faculty and staff can purchase Adobe Acrobat through OnThe Hub.
Questions?
For assistance with software purchase, staff can submit an IT General Inquiry ticket through the Service Portal. In urgent cases, please call the Staff Service Centre for IT support at 780-492-8000.
