Windows 10 Version 21H1 Update

Microsoft has recently released Windows 10 version 21H1. Version 21H1 offers a small set of new features. IST makes every effort to constantly improve the computing experience at the University of Alberta and therefore will be offering this update to all of our clients using Windows 10 on the central domain.

This update will be available for optional install from June 28, 2021 until July 28, 2021. You have the option of applying the update at your convenience, alternatively you can wait for IST to perform the installation automatically beginning on the evening of July 29. Information on how to install the update can be found in KB0013073. We encourage you to backup all of your data as a precaution prior to installing the update.

We recommend installing the update at the end of the day as it may take up to an hour to complete and you will be unable to use your computer during this time.
