RWTH Aachen - University of Alberta Junior Research Fellowships

The Junior Research Fellowship Program aims to enable and facilitate cooperation in research and education between the RWTH Aachen and the University of Alberta.

Who can apply?

Master's students and doctoral candidates from RWTH Aachen. Please review the Eligibility page for more information.

Scholarship Amount and Funding Period

Master's students - 900 euros per month for up to six months

PhD students - 1,250 euros per month for up to six months

Aims of the Fellowship

Conducting research as part of the Master's or doctoral thesis (including research internships)

Selection Criteria

• Excellent Academic Performance
• Strategic value for the partnership between RWTH and University of Alberta

Application Deadlines

• January 31 (formerly March 31) for research internships starting April 1 or later
• July 31 (formerly September 30) for research internships starting October 1 or later
