How to Apply

Eligibility

In order to be considered for the IVSP, you must:

Checked box Be registered in a degree program at a university outside of Canada.
Checked box Have permission from your university to participate in the IVSP.

How to Apply

Step 1: Consult the Program Information

Ensure you understand which academic courses are available for IVSP students.

Step 2: Review the Application Guide and Submit your Application

Carefully read the University of Alberta IVSP Application Guide. The guide includes step-by-step instructions to help you navigate the “Launchpad” online application system.

Step 3: Prepare and Upload Your Documents

Gather the following required documents to submit with your application:

  • All post-secondary transcripts translated into English
  • Recommendation Letter from your home institution
  • IVSP Participation Consent Form
  • English Proficiency Test Results

Note: If you do not follow this guide carefully, you may end up applying for the wrong program.

Important: The application fee is non-refundable. If you have questions before paying your application fee, please contact us at ivspuab@ualberta.ca.

Step 4: Wait for Confirmation

After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirmation. Your application will be reviewed, and you will be notified of the decision within 4-6 weeks of uploading your documents.
