The Biological Sciences Building at the University of Alberta will be transformed into a collaborative, high-service research and teaching space known as the Life Sciences Innovation and Future Technologies (LIFT) Centre.

The LIFT Centre will be a hub for interdisciplinary teaching and research across the colleges and standalone faculties, bringing together STEM and life sciences researchers, faculty, students and industry leaders to foster collaboration and discovery.

This transformation will increase teaching and research spaces and create opportunities for students and faculty from different disciplines to interact and collaborate in shared learning and lab spaces.
