Catholic Students Education Award
Application deadline: January 31, 2025
The Catholic Students Education Award provides financial support of the education of aspiring Catholic teachers.
This award is given annually to students who are enrolled full- or part-time in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta or in the Baccalauréat en éducation program at Campus Saint-Jean, and have successfully completed at least two CHRTC and/or PHIL courses offered at St. Joseph's College.
Recipients of the Award will receive $500; the number of recipients varies annually.
Applicants must have graduated from a Catholic School in one of the following districts:
East Central Alberta Catholic (Provost, Vermillion, Wainwright)
Elk Island Catholic (Camrose, Fort Saskatchewan, Sherwood Park, Vegreville)
STAR Catholic (Drayton Valley, Leduc, Ponoka)
The Selection Committee will consider academic achievement, involvement in the activities/ministries of St. Joseph's College, and a statement of the applicant's career plans and vision for Catholic Education in Alberta.
