Have you met … Nancy Hernandez?
3 May 2024
What path brought you to this role?
I started at the university back in 2004 in a clinical setting in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. I was interested in expanding my knowledge and seeking other opportunities and challenges on campus.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Hands down, the people. We have a great team and a healthy environment.
What do you love about kinesiology and how it impacts people’s lives?
Coming from a family that is deeply immersed in all things soccer, I love how our faculty encourages research and the overall betterment of athletes.
What is your favourite place on campus?
The butterdome. At lunch I walk there and I like seeing how vibrant it is; with badminton, pickleball, soccer, basketball, people walking, others training long-jump, it really does just feel alive.
What are you most looking forward to?
The summer, warmer weather, and sitting on my deck.
What’s something your KSR community might be surprised to learn about you?
This summer my husband and I will be empty nesters. I'm excited but nervous too.
