Michael R Bevan Graduate Scholarship
Eligibility
- Superior Academic Achievement (a grade point average of 3.5 or greater is required)
- Master of Science (MSc) degree program
- Nominee must be working in the area of horticultural crops
- Selected on the basis of superior academic achievement
- Preference will be given to nominees entering the first year of their master's program
- Open to Canadian citizens.
- Open to permanent residents.
- Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
- Open to applicants in masters programs.
- Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
- Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.

Endowed by the late Michael Bevan [1920-2011], Bachelor of Science Agriculture '45, a student leader and volunteer, editor and managing director of The Gateway, sportsman and RCAF officer. This award is established in memory of Michael Bevan and his mentor and teacher, Sheldon Shoemaker, to recognize the commitment both had in supporting graduate students in the advancement of their careers.
