  • Superior academic achievement
  • Recipient’s research focus must cross over two or more disciplinesPreference Criterion: Preference given to a student who identifies as a woman
  • Selection based on academic achievement
  • Selection based on indicated financial need, and demonstrated leadership, community engagement, volunteerism and involvement in extracurricular activities
  • Open to Canadian citizens
  • Open to permanent residents
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs
  • Open to applicants in masters programs
  • Open to full-time or part-time in a masters or doctoral program


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty) and will be part of a competitive adjudication. The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
