Eligibility

  • Grade point average of 3.5 or greater on the University of Alberta grading scale
  • Department of Biological Sciences
  • Nominee's area of study must be Comparative Physiology and Biochemistry
  • This scholarship may not be held concurrently with the Donald M Ross Scholarship
  • Preference will be given to nominees whose research animal is fish
  • Preference will be given to nominees whose programs will, at least in part, be carried out at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
