Guide to Academic Advisement Report
The Academic Advisement Report is an online degree planner tool in Bear Tracks that will enable you to track your progress in your program by automatically mapping courses to the relevant program requirement. The report uses courses completed, courses transferred and courses in-progress and applies them to your specific degree requirements. Changes in registration are instantly applied, giving students the ability to review how any changes in registration fit into their program requirements. This tool helps students identify:
- what requirements have been met with courses successfully completed and/or with courses in-progress
- what requirements are still outstanding and require completion
There are two ways to access the Academic Advisement Report, depending on what stage you are in the program:
- What-If Report: As a new admit to the Faculty of Education, you must use the What-If report from the time of admission until the completion of your first Fall term in the Faculty of Education.
- Please note, new students have access to their What-If report once the offer of admission is accepted, and tuition deposit is paid (for new to the UofA students).
- Academic Requirements Report: Starting your first Winter Term and onward, you may use the Academic Requirements Report to access your online degree planner.
The Academic Advisement Report is only available for students in the following programs:
- 4-Year Bachelor of Education Elementary
- 4-Year Bachelor of Education Secondary (admitted Fall 2023 or later)
- Bachelor of Arts (Drama)/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) Combined Degree
