Master of Education in Educational Studies

Direct-Entry Pathway


Students with a 4-year baccalaureate degree from a recognized university, along with at least two years of full-time teaching experience can enter the MES directly.

Students in the blended and online cohorts take ten (10) courses - eight core courses in sequence, and two electives.

Students in the Leadership in International Schools and Maskwacîs cohorts take ten (10) courses which have been specifically designed for those groups. Click on the cohort below for details.

The Master of Education in Educational Studies (MES) - Leadership in International Schools offers teachers in international schools an opportunity to develop theoretical and conceptual foundations in educational leadership, administration, and management, and to explore leadership practice through a research-informed lens. The program is designed to contribute to your preparation for K-12 school leadership.

Maskwacîs Cohort

The Master of Education in Educational Studies - Maskwacîs Cohort supports Indigenous teachers and school leaders from the Maskwacîs Cultural College, the Maskwacîs Education Schools Commission, and other Indigenous educators. You can be a change advocate, supporting robust learning communities at every level and in every community, enriching a culture of informed practice.
