Change Health Community Program (CHCP)

The Change Health Community Program (CHCP) is partnering with the Office of the Dean of Students to provide first-year students with healthy and active living skills and resources to thrive at the U of A. Students will participate in a cooking class to learn practical and healthy meal preparation. This will be followed by a workshop from campus partners such as the University Health Centre, Campus Recreation, and the Campus Food Bank.

The Change Health Community Program (CHCP) is a preventative, lifestyle intervention program based out of the Department of Family Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Program participants are equipped with knowledge and skills in four key areas to promote lifelong wellness: mental health, physical activity, nutrition and social connection.
