Eligibility and Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

• Age > 18 years
• Admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for more than 24 hours or has an anticipated length of stay in the ICU for 24 hours or more.
• Informed Consent, according to local research ethical committee

Exclusion Criteria

• End Stage Kidney Disease treated with maintenance RRT
• Readmission to the ICU during same hospitalization episode
• Missing AKI defining data (no measured serum creatinine and <6 hours of documented urinary output).
