How to Acknowledge the CVRI
Acknowledging your membership and any research funds you receive through the CVRI is important.
- It recognizes and thanks the Foundations and/or philanthropic donors funding your research efforts.
- It fulfills the requirements outlined in your notice of award.
- It helps promote the CVRI and instill trust in your work and ours, which furthers our ability to secure future funds for the continued support of cardiovascular research.
If you have received operating funds through the CVRI:
"This research was supported by the [funding source] through the University of Alberta's Cardiovascular Research Institute."
For posters and presentations, please include one of the CVRI logos whenever possible (see Using the CVRI logos below).
For studentship or stipend support received through the CVRI:
"This work was supported by a [studentship/fellowship/award name] provided through the Cardiovascular Research Institute and funded by [funding source]."
As a member of the CVRI, please consider adding the following phrase to your email or correspondance signature:
- Member, Cardiovascular Research Institute
In addition, you may choose to add one of the CVRI logos to your signature (see Using the CVRI logo below).
- Right click on the logo you need below and select "Save-as" to download and save a master copy.
- Insert or copy and paste the logo where you need it to go.
- Always lock the aspect ratio or constrain proportions when re-sizing the logo
- ensure the full horizontal logo is a minimum of 2.5cm in width, and
- abbreviated vertical logo is a minimum of 1.5cm in width
