How to Give

We count on you to support cancer research at CRINA

Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. If your life has been touched by cancer, be it breast, ovarian, lung, prostate or colorectal cancer, blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, or any other cancer, you may wonder why we haven't cured cancer yet. The problem is complex because cancer is not just one disease, it's more than 200 and we still have so much to learn. Right now, there’s only one cure for cancer — research. 

This is why the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta (CRINA) was formed, to bring together world-class researchers and physicians dedicated to making impactful discoveries in cancer prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship.

The good news is philanthropic support is helping to bring discoveries from the laboratory to the clinic and to patients faster than ever before. CRINA is driving innovation and collaboration in cancer research, and our members would not be able to make significant advances without your generous support.

Donate online

You can donate directly to the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta (CRINA) to the area of greatest need through the University of Alberta using this online form. Tax receipts will be emailed directly to you.

Donate by cheque

You can donate to cancer research by mailing in a donation and a tax receipt will be mailed to you. Please send cheques payable to the University of Alberta, with CRINA in the memo line to:

Donate by securities 

You can donate stock or other marketable securities that have increased in value and make a significant impact for cancer research. Gifting securities is a very cost-efficient way to give.
