Eligibility for Membership
WHO
ATI membership is open to all those residing in Alberta or partnering with Alberta-based research who are committed to improving outcomes for patients, families and donors through advances in donation and transplantation research, education, and advocacy. This includes the following profiles, recognizing individuals may have multiple relevant roles and perspectives.
RESEARCHERS & CLINICIAN SCIENTISTS
A faculty member, clinician or a clinician-scientist affiliated or working with any Alberta University who carries out research in an area relevant to donation or transplantation, and who is eligible to hold grant and research funds as a principal investigator.
TRAINEES & STAFF
CLINICIANS & HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
Clinicians (including nursing and allied health) who do not have an independent research program but are involved in teaching, patient care, collaborate on clinical trials, or other research or training initiatives relevant to the Institute.
PATIENTS, FAMILY, LIVING DONORS, CARE PARTNERS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS
Individuals outside the academic sector who are strongly interested in contributing to the areas of donation and transplantation, including those with lived experience and those who represent patients, family, and donors such as members of associations or foundations.
