Memorial & Tribute Giving
- Make a donation in memory of a loved one or in tribute of a special occasion at any stage of life: graduation, birthday, wedding, anniversary, or retirement.
- Donations made in memory / tribute may be directed to specific areas within the ATI such as transplantation research, organ donation awareness, and education support.
The ATI is honored to be the recipient of such meaningful gifts. These gifts inspire outstanding achievements in learning and discovery and will help us push the frontiers of donation and transplantation forward.
Bequest through a Will
- When you support the University of Alberta in your will, you commit to world-changing research and the education of future generations. Your gift can include cash, securities, real estate or other property. Talk to your financial adviser about the options. The most common types of bequests are:
- Residual bequests: Designate all or part of your estate. The advantage is that there is no need to update that part of your will, even as your estate adjusts in size.
- Specific bequests: Designate a fixed dollar amount or a specific property. The advantage is that the size of the gift remains fixed and is the first to be distributed.
