India Study Tour Courses

The India Tour aims to give students an in-depth understanding of India, its cultural and religious diversity, and the challenges it faces in the 21st century. Specifically, the objectives for the India Tour are:

  • to examine the issues of development, environmental sustainability, and globalization within the Indian context;
  • to explore India's religions, including Hinduism, Sikhism, and Christianity;
  • to offer first hand experiences of Indian life, both urban and rural; and
  • to highlight the benefits of work done by government and non-governmental organizations.

Taught by Dr. Varghese Manaloor (Economics), students will spend 3 weeks in India.

The course has no prerequisites.

Note: Students who require AUECO 254 for graduation could possibly count AUIDS 286 as economics credits. Exceptions will be made after completion of the course.
