The Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine is home to and participates in a variety of student clinics that attract community patients and allow students to get hands-on clinical experience.

Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic

Corbett Hall Early Education Program (CHEEP)

The Corbett Hall Early Education Program (CHEEP) provides exceptional preschool programming to children, three to five years of age, who have been diagnosed with developmental delays.

Corbett Hall Speech-Language Clinic (Corbett Clinic)

The Corbett Clinic is operated within the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. Students in the Master of Speech-Language Pathology program provide assessment and treatment for clients of all ages under the supervision of staff in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology.

Corbett Hall Student Physical Therapy Clinic

The Corbett Hall Student Physical Therapy Clinic is operated within the Department of Physical Therapy which includes the Mixed Caseload Clinic and The Older Adult Health and Wellness Student Clinic. Students in the Master of Physical Therapy program provide treatment and rehabilitation under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

The Health Workforce Action Plan (HWAP)

The Health Workforce Action Plan (HWAP) proposal was initiated jointly by the University of Alberta's Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and Alberta Health Services. The overarching goals of this initiative were to implement a creative service delivery model to provide communication and swallowing services for adults, necessary education to facility staff and caregivers, and combine best practice intervention in service delivery with opportunities for increasing the capacity for student training.

Occupational Performance Analysis Unit (OPAU)

OPAU is a not-for-profit clinical service unit of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta that provides rehabilitation services on a fee-for-service basis. Evaluation and treatment is provided by expert, experienced occupational and physical therapists.
