EDI Teaching & Learning Impact Framework

The Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine is committed to putting EDI principles into practice to create an environment of accountability where everyone feels respected, valued, and safer to authentically engage in learning and teaching.

To help understand whether its efforts are making a difference, the faculty has developed the FRM EDI Teaching & Learning Impact Framework. The framework clarifies ‘what’ types of impacts are expected, ‘who’ is to be affected, ‘when’ impacts are likely to occur, and ‘how’ they might come about.

The framework can be used to:

• clarify a common language and understanding of EDI teaching and learning impact within the faculty and with external partners
• identify areas of strength and gaps or blind spots in FRM’s strategy and for future EDI planning
• make decisions involving resource allocation and development of initiatives
• plan impact assessments
• communicate clear and focused messages about FRM’s EDI teaching and learning impact
