Graduate Studies
The Department of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging offers both MSc and PhD graduate degrees in diverse areas involving basic, applied, and clinical sciences. Our research demonstrates a direct or indirect relationship to the advancement of diagnostic imaging.
The Department is situated within the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre (WMC), which includes the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH), Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, and the Stollery Children's Hospital, and is one of the largest hospital complex in Western Canada. UAH is also considered one of Canada's leading clinical, research, and teaching hospitals, treating more than 700,000 patients annually.
We pride ourselves not only on our research and its quality but also in our teaching and facilities. Most of our graduate students have successfully competed for major scholarships during their tenure.
