Dr. Taro Okamura

Taro Okamura (PhD 2022) has been awarded the second annual Hume Studies Essay Prize for his essay “Hume’s Passion-Based Account of Moral Responsibility.” The essay is adapted from his dissertation, Hume’s Epistemic Sentimentalism. Professor Amy Schmitter was his supervisor. Taro is now a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Research Fellow at the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology at the University of Tokyo.
